Dr Vimal graduated in medicine (M.B.B.S.) from the Institute Of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, U.P., INDIA. He then obtained his M.D.in Psychiatry from the Deptt. Of Psychiatry, I.M.S., B.H.U. with honors and completed a 3-year residency program in psychiatry at Sir Sunder.Lal Hospital, I.M.S., B.H.U.in1983. After residency, DrVimal did a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine (formerly called Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry: psychiatry for patients with medical illnesses) and had subsequently served on the Faculty of the PGI Rohtak Medical College, Department of Psychiatry as Registrar of Psychiatry. Dr Vimal has had a private practice of psychiatry/psychotherapy since completing residency, in addition to university hospital based experience as an attending psychiatrist has more than 25yrs. of experience after residency.
