Dr J.M Wadhawan is a renowned Psychiatrist currently associated with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi as a Senior Consultant. With degrees of MBBS & MD, both from Pune University and PhD from the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bangalore, Dr Wadhawan is the only psychiatrist in India who has been associated with the first and only Indo Soviet Space Odyssey held in the year 1984. He was the Head of Department at Neuropsychiatry Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore and was in-charge of the selection of cosmonauts, their pre, post & in-flight training & the Biomedical Research projects of the space program.
