Globus is a dedicated centre for all problems related to Gastro-intestinal tract – the stomach, intestines, esophagus, liver, pancreas, colon and rectum. The centre has been set-up by DrVedant H. Karvir, a Hepato-Gastroenterologist & Interventional Endoscopist from West Mumbai. He has an experience of over 7 Years in the field of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Therapeutic Endoscopy. After completing his Basic medical training (MBBS) from Kolhapur , he pursued 3 year training (MD) with Research in Gastroenterology and Hepatology followed by which he joined the prestigious KEM Hospital in Mumbai where he worked for 3 years as a fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department. In his over 7 years of career he has performed more than 10,000 Gastroscopies and over 2,000 Colonoscopies. He has done many advanced procedures which involve control of Gastro-intestinal bleeding, Removal of Foreign bodies (For Eg. Coin in food pipe), Esophageal dilatation & ERCP (Removal of stone in CBD). . He received extensive hands-on training in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI tract endoscopy and colonoscopy on the Olympus HD video endoscope system. Dr Vedant H. Karvir is currently also attached to Sanjeevani Hospital in Malad East & Thunga Hospital in Mira Road. In addition, he has started his own Gastroenterology Centre named as Pruthvi Hospital and Endoscopy Centre at Boisar, a distant suburb of West Mumbai. He visits there Once every week (Wednesday evening)
