Dr. Pinaki Mukhopadhyay is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology at NRS Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata. In addition to his teaching career, Dr. Mukhopadhyay visits several hospitals in and around Kolkata as a Consultant Nephrologist. Dr. Mukhopadhyay was responsible for upgrading the dialysis services at NRS Medical College and Hospital. In addition to teaching medical students in nephrology, he runs a dialysis technician course and a nurses training programme at NRS. He is a paper setter, examiner and thesis guide, and also a reviewer for several medical journals.
