Huma Specialist Hospital and Research Centre was established in the year 1987 band Chairman and Founder Managing Director Dr. Hisamuddin Papa with the spirit and vision of forming an exceptional organization serving humanity with compassion. HUMA was developed as a multi-speciality hospital with all major surgeries being performed successfully. Situated on the arterial road of Chennai and easily accessible, HUMA provided quality medical care by expert medical professionals under one roof. The years 1993-1994 saw a change of focus in the core service area of the hospital with the in-patient facilities being withdrawn temporarily due to constraint of space and future expansion plans. The Diagnostic Division was kept under operation and developed. The hospital since then has received many accolades and set benchmarks in the health care industry.
