Practising since 1970, Dr K S S Bhat is an immensely experienced Cardiologist with a career span of over four decades. His expertise lies in the areas of Ischemic Heart Disease, Clinical Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology, Hypertension and Heart Failure. Currently, Dr Bhat practices at Heart Lung Clinic, a Centre for Preventive Cardiology and Lifestyle Healthcare and Manipal Hospital, both located in Bengaluru. Moreover, Dr Bhat is also a visiting cardiologist at Bengaluru-based HAL Hospital and NAL Medical Centre. Prior to entering medical practice, Dr Bhat obtained his MBBS, MD (General Medicine) and DTCD (Cardiology) qualifications. He has a wide teaching experience on a national and global platform. On the domestic front, he has trained students at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and HAL Hospital, Bengaluru. He also has imparted academic training in overseas institutions such as Otago Medical School, New Zealand and Al Fatah University Medical School, Libya. An eloquent speaker, Dr Bhat has delivered some fine knowledge enhancing CME lectures in national and international conferences. He also has made contribution in the form of articles and chapters, in reputed publications. Previously, Dr Bhat held prominent positions as the President of Cardiological Society of India (Bangalore and Karnataka Chapter), Association of Physicians of India (Karnataka Chapter), Indian Medical Association (Bangalore) and Indian College of Cardiology (National level).
